YOUTH SAFETY FIRST
Growing up today isn’t easy, and neither is supporting our children and young people. The challenges of online pressures and unrealistic expectations, managing relationships, exploitation, knife crime and complex home lives are real, serious, and constantly changing.
We are here to help you understand those risks and give you the tools to stay safe, confident, and in control. We believe safety education should be practical, supportive, and empowering, not scary or boring.
Youth Safety First is a specialist organisation dedicated to keeping young people safe by addressing the root causes of risk, harm, and exploitation. We deliver engaging, trauma-informed education and training to young people, professionals, and parents, focusing on real-life issues such as youth violence, online safety, exploitation, and emotional well-being. Our programmes are built on lived experience and professional expertise, helping young people understand their behaviours, build resilience, and make safer, more informed choices. Alongside this, we equip schools, youth services, and organisations with the knowledge and tools they need to recognise risks early, respond effectively, and create safer environments.
Successful work in this space does not just raise awareness, we empower change, build confidence, and support long-term cultural shifts that keep young people safer in their communities.
Youth Safety First CIC has delivered education and training to tens of thousands of individuals in partnership with Community Safety Teams, Local Authorities and Youth Services. Our team is led by Louise Thompson, a Criminologist specialising in Youth Violence and Conflict Management with years of experience developing and delivering to more than 20,000 students and professionals. Louise is supported by Youth Safety Ambassadors who shape our work by offering an in-depth understand of the risks and challenges faced by young people in todays world. We offer workshops, assemblies and programmes that are evidence-led, engaging, and proven to be impactful in helping the next generation navigate a post-Covid world that is complicated, confusing and unsafe.
