FOR SECONDARY
In response to the growing challenges faced by children and young people today, we deliver impactful education and support designed to build safer, more resilient futures. Our programmes focus on key areas including personal safety, social, emotional and behavioural development, communication, and resilience.
We are commissioned by Local Authorities, Youth Services, and educational settings to design and deliver high-quality education and training that addresses risks to the safety and wellbeing of young people. Our work supports those who may be involved in, or at risk of, anti-social behaviour, risk-taking activities, and peer-to-peer violence.
Our sessions are developed in collaboration with young people and professionals, ensuring they are relevant, engaging, and grounded in real experiences. We work to challenge harmful norms, promote positive behaviours, and support improved engagement in education. We do this by helping young people explore emotional triggers, strengthen decision-making skills, increase risk awareness, and understand the real-life consequences of their actions.
Where our existing programmes do not fully meet your needs, we offer a bespoke service working in partnership with you to design tailored solutions that respond directly to the specific challenges faced by your young people.

TARGETTED INTERVENTIONS.

Following a reported 25% rise in girls presenting to A&E in Cardiff with injuries linked to peer‑to‑peer violence, Youth Safety First was commissioned by the Cardiff Council Community Safety Team to design and deliver a targeted early‑intervention programme for secondary school‑aged girls involved in, or at risk of, violence in school or the community.
The resulting Connect programme is a structured six‑week intervention focused on reducing conflict, strengthening emotional regulation, and improving communication skills.
To date, more than 130 girls across Cardiff and the Vale have completed the programme, with 100% positive feedback from both students and teaching staff.
