YOUTH SAFETY FIRST CIC
The challenges faced by children and young people today are significant and constantly evolving. From the risks of online exploitation to the dangers of knife crime and county lines, these are not abstract issues – they impact lives, families, and communities every day.
Our role is to meet these challenges head-on, providing practical, supportive, and empowering education. We give young people not only knowledge, but also a voice, encouraging them to speak out, seek support, and support each other.
Youth Safety First CIC is more than an organisation – it is a commitment to protecting, educating, and empowering the next generation. Our work is rooted in safeguarding, guided by values of inclusion, empowerment, and respect, and driven by the urgent need to address the real-world challenges young people face today.
We are proud of the impact we have already made, but we know there is more to do. By joining us, you will play a vital role in shaping safer communities and brighter futures.
Registered, approved, and licensed centre with the National Federation of Personal Safety, and our qualified instructors deliver a specialised curriculum in safety education. Our work is overseen by our governing body, the British Martial Arts and Boxing Association, which ensures the highest standards of professional training, including first aid and safeguarding.
All instructors hold enhanced DBS certificates, are trained in safeguarding and first aid, and are registered with the Education Workforce Council, the independent professional regulator for the education sector in Wales.
Partnering for Change: Addressing the Behavioural Crisis in Schools and Communities
The UK is facing a growing behavioural and mental health crisis among young people. Violent incidents in schools have surged by 37% in just one year, with teachers increasingly at risk and overwhelmed. Beyond the classroom, rising youth violence, mental health referrals, and social instability reflect a wider systemic breakdown.
We work in direct partnership with local authorities, schools, pupil referral units, and youth services to respond to this urgent need. We deliver a comprehensive service that includes universal workshops and assemblies, targeted interventions, and professional training for staff. Our work empowers young people to understand and regulate their emotions, manage conflict constructively, avoid anti-social and risk taking behaviour, and resist peer pressure - reducing the likelihood of harm to themselves and others.
We deliver bespoke sessions designed to address the needs of the individuals we are working with.
With the right support, we can intervene early, prevent long-term damage, and help create safer, more resilient communities.
That includes giving all young people a safe space to be heard even when what they are saying isn't easy to hear. Creating platforms for young people especially those who are often unheard or disengaged — to speak out, be part of positive change, seek help when they need it, and support one another.Together, we can build safer choices and stronger communities

CEO Statement:
"Following the pandemic, it has become increasingly clear that young people are struggling emotionally and socially. While efforts were made to address gaps in education, the profound impact of prolonged social isolation was underestimated.
Many young people now find it harder to communicate face-to-face, relying instead on social media and group chats where messages are misinterpreted and tensions quickly escalate as others become involved for 'entertainment'. The rise in peer conflict, unrealistic online expectations, truancy and exclusions are leaving young people feeling alone, inadequate, and at greater risk of anti-social and risk taking behaviour as well as exploitation.
By equipping young people with the tools to regulate emotions, resolve conflict and prioritise personal safety we can help them navigate challenges, strengthen relationships, and protect their wellbeing in a world that demands so much of them".
